The visitors made a flying start, racing into a two-goal lead inside 15 minutes through Luke Postle and Zac Powell. Jack W Smith then finished off a neat team move to halve the deficit ten minutes before half time.

The Swans pushed for an equaliser after the restart, but Westfields remained a threat on the counter. Bailey Fuller restored their two-goal cushion, before Harrison Iddles was sent off. With ten men, though, Westfields struck again as Aidan Clark made it 4-1.

With less than five minutes to go, Slimbridge came close to staging a late comeback. 

W Smith netted his second in the 86th minute, and Leighton Blacker rifled home just a minute from time to make it 4-3. 

Westfields' defence held firm, however, to clinch all three points and admit Slimbridge to their first defeat of the Hellenic League Premier Division campaign.
