The two sides appeared very evenly matched, and there were very few real efforts on goal in the first period. Slimbridge proved to be very solid at the back, and were causing a few promising signs on the break, in awful weather conditions, with wind and rain sweeping over the ground. 

The deciding goal came on 53 minutes, when Smith found himself in space on the edge of the Swans box, and drilled the ball back across Steve Sarkodie to give the visitors the lead. 

In the second minute of stoppage time, Charlie Matthews' free kick from his own half was caught by the wind, and it required an alert stop from Dorchester Keeper Josey Casa-Grande to tip the ball over the bar as it threatened to slip into the goal,  and Joey Shutt was just off target with an overhead kick four minutes into stoppage time, but Dorchester held on to record the first defeat in competitive football that the Swans have suffered this season.
