It was the hosts who struck first, Rhys Wells converting from the spot after Charlie Hitchings was penalised for a handball in the penalty area. 

But, the Swans were behind for just 12 minutes. A quick one-two down the left wing between Joe Stokes and Jack Smith saw Stokes break into the Highworth box before finding Jack W Smith, who swept a first-time shot into the far corner. 

Eight minutes before the interval, Joe Shutt put Slimbridge ahead with his second goal in as many games, tapping home an inviting Charlie Mathews cross at the back post. 

A third came ten minutes into the second half, when slick one-touch passing between Stokes, Joe Hunt, and Jack Smith gave Stokes the space to deliver a cross into Toby Soule. A deft touch lifted the ball over the Highworth keeper and into the net.

Jack Smith capped off another fine team performance on the road with a powerful and looping header from just inside the penalty area, Hunt with the cross.

The win has left the Swans third in the Hellenic League Premier Division. 

Up next, attention turns to the FA Vase. With Slimbridge travelling to Longlevens on Saturday (20th September, 15:00 kick off) in the 2nd qualifying round.

For the U18s, a relentless 7-0 victory at Frome Town in the first round of the FA Youth Cup has earned them a home tie against Taunton Town U18 on Tuesday (16th September). Kick off is at 19:30.
