Dan Hanson starred in the latest episode of the Slimbridge Late Late Show, firing home a 91st-minute showstopper at Worcester Raiders.
Hanson's arrowed strike into the top corner, his first for the club, extended the Swans' away winning run in the league to five matches.
In a contest between two strong sides, Slimbridge were made to weather the storm at times but stood firm, with important performances across the pitch.
The win leaves the Swans in third, a point behind the top two, with a couple games in hand over each.
It was the hosts who began brighter, enjoying the early possession. Stephen Sarkodie was called into action on 13 minutes, getting down sharply to make his first big save since returning from injury.
As the half progressed, Slimbridge grew into the game. Debutant Ibrahim Olateju linked up well with Jack W Smith, latching onto a clever ball in behind the defence, but Charlie Emery in the Raiders net was quick off his line to smother the chance.
From the Swans' first corner, Joe Shutt's swinging cross found Toby Soule, whose deft flick skimmed just wide of the post.
Raiders sought to use their long throw-in to their advantage several times throughout both halves, but the Slimbridge defence and goalkeeper stood firm, clearing any balls into the box.
Olateju's debut was unfortunately cut short 10 minutes before half time when he looked to have pulled up while closing down the Raiders defence. Raiyan Ahmed the replacement up front.
The first half ended goalless, but with both sides knowing they were in a tight contest at the DOADC Stadium.
The second half began much like the first, with Raiders enjoying the majority of possession before the Swans grew into play.
Just before the hour mark, Ahmed came closest to opening the scoring, creating space on the edge of the area before rattling the crossbar with a curling effort.
Another debutant, Elliot Emm, made way for Jacob Rodgers soon after, having impressed the travelling fans with his bright first-half display.
Chances began to fall Slimbridge's way. Sarkodie's pinpoint goal kick was expertly brought down by Smith, who teed up Ahmed for a shot that forced an important save from the Raiders goalkeeper.
At the other end, Joe Shutt was alert to head clear a goalbound effort from a Raiders corner.
Minutes later, Emery was called into action twice within the space of five minutes. Producing fine saves to deny shots from both Rodgers and Smith.
At 90 minutes, Dan Hanson took to the pitch. 50 seconds later, the ball was in the back of the net.
Charlie Mathews pounced on a loose pass and found Rodgers, who slipped it through to Hanson. With his first touch of the game, he glided past his marker and unleashed a stunning strike that cut across the goal, cannoning in off the crossbar and into the top corner.
It was always going to take something special to separate the two sides, and Hanson's goal was just that.
It marked Slimbridge's 14th goal scored after the 80th minute this season, and perhaps the one that sent the travelling supporters into their wildest celebrations yet.
Next up, attention turns back to the FA Vase as Slimbridge host Wells City at Thornhill Park on Saturday (October 18th, 15:00 kick off).
