On Saturday, Slimbridge AFC's FA Vase journey came to an end at Downton following a penalty shootout defeat.
The management team at Thornhill Park would like to take this time to thank Swans supporters for their outstanding support throughout the competition and share their reflections on the cup run:
"On reflection of Saturday's cup defeat to Downton, first and foremost, we'd like to congratulate them and wish them the very best of luck in the next round.
"From our perspective, it's a bittersweet moment. This is only the second time in the club's history that we've reached this stage of the competition, and as a management team, we are incredibly proud of this group and what they've achieved.
"We also cannot thank our supporters enough. The backing we had Saturday, and throughout this entire cup journey, has been outstanding. From the very first round away at Longlevens, right through to Saturday. The effort, commitment, and noise from our supporters has not gone unnoticed, and has played a huge part in getting us to where we are.
"Each round of the competition brought a different challenge and helped us grow as a group. Against Longlevens, we showed real character coming back from 3-1 down to win on penalties in what was a crazy, emotional game. Ivybridge was a fantastic day for us. We were firing on all cylinders and showed how clinical we can be. Against Amesbury, it was a completely different test. An extremely physical encounter where they threw everything at us and we had to dig deep and show resilience.
"Unfortunately, Saturday just wasn't our day. We never quite found rhythm and nothing really fell for us, but credit has to go to Downton. They worked extremely hard, staying in the game, and ultimately ground out the result. Losing on penalties is always tough to take, but that's football.
"Despite the disappointment, there is still so much to be positive about. We remain right up there at the top end of the league and we're still in another cup competition. There is a lot left to play for this season. We can now use this experience as extra motivation to stick together, be collective, and push on to see just how successful we can be in both the league and the cup.
"Finally, we'd like to take this moment to say a huge thank you to everyone involved off the pitch. The committee, the volunteers, and everyone who works tirelessly behind the scenes to support the team. And of course, a massive well done to the players. The position we're in this season speaks volumes about their commitment and quality.
"We're in a good place as a club. Now it's about getting our heads down, using this as fuel, and seeing how far we can go."
