In August, Lydney Town's committed and spirited performance saw them hold the Swans until the 82nd minute and Raiyan Ahmed's game winning strike, but they went one step further on Saturday and went back to the Recreation Ground with a point after another afternoon of frustration for the Swans.
The dismissal of Kian Kang after two yellow cards in the first half seemed to have swung the momentum in favour of the visitors, but then Shaun Warren's red on the hour mark levelled the sides back up, and the sides played out a freezing cold stalemate.
The game kicked off ten minutes later at the request of the visitors who were waiting for players to arrive at the train station, but they still ended up having to make a couple of late lineup changes just prior to Kick Off.
An early chance put wide by Aaron Jenkins was really the only decent opportunity for Lydney during the first half with four minutes on the clock. Slimbridge were dominating the play, but were unable to convert that into goals - Jack W Smith saw his effort on 11 minutes deflected for a corner, before Jack Smith's effort that rebounded back into play off the Lydney post a minute later that saw a massive scramble, but with the Lydney goal ending up secure.
The chances continued to come for the hosts - Lydney Keeper Ellis Boughton made a good stop from Aaron Evans-Harriot on 20 minutes, and then Evans-Harriot's effort was blocked and deflected for a corner, which saw Hadyn Evans off target with a header from Joe Shutt's kick.
Just before the half hour, Kian Kang picked up a yellow card for halting a Lydney break with a pull back.
Slimbridge still couldn't break the deadlock - Joey Shutt was just off target following good work from Bogdan Mara, before Shutt's corner saw Mara's effort somehow kept out on the Lydeney goal line.
Five minutes before the break, Kang collected his second yellow card and was dismissed by Referee Andrew Wertheim, leaving the Swans a man down.
Three half time substitutions - Ryan Ponting for Tris Haswell, Alex Bell for Joe Shutt and Charlie Matthews for Aaron Evans-Harriot saw the Swans reorganise for the second period.
As Lydney pressed, Charlie Mathews was injured making a great block early in the half, but still the game remained bereft of goals.
On 62 minutes, Shaun Warren scythed down Evans as he broke down the Slimbridge left, and saw himself dismissed with a straight red, evening the numbers back up.
The game developed into a stalemate as neither team really inflicted any damage on their opponents. Slimbridge had two clear cut chances to nick it, but Ollie Barnes failed to connect with Jack W Smith's cross, before Boughton made a late save to deny Toby Soule as the game ticked into stoppage time.
The Swans are in Cup action next Saturday (3rd January, 3.00pm), when they entertain Westfields in the UHL Challenge Cup.
