The Swans Under 18s side tonight clinched a memorable league and Cup double with their 3-1 Victory at Tuffley Rovers. This result gives them the League title with one more game to play. Two early goals from Kieran Bennett put the Swans in charge, and despite Tuffley pulling a goal back in the second half, Tyler Jagger's strike for the third was enough to spark wild celebrations from the players, staff, families and fans who had made the short trip up the A38 from Thornhill Park.
Huge credit must go to Tom Hitchens and Kevin Russell for their leadership of the side. And every one of the lads played their part on the pitch, to cap off a memorable season.
The 18s have one final game remaining, when they make the trip to Lydney on Wednesday (7.30pm Kick Off).
A celebration for the Under 18s team will be held at Thornhill Park on Saturday. Details will be announced shortly.
