With the help and support of Doc's daughter, Tania, the wider family and the incredible donations from the darting world, the group were able to arrange a huge raffle, with some fabulous prizes including signed shirts and other memorabilia from a number of international players, PDS Pros and Major Champions, all topped off with an auction of a personally signed Luke 'The Nuke' Littler Shirt!

Over the course of the day, they managed to to raise almost £1000 for charity. The chosen charity was the British Heart Foundation - a cause quite literally close to Doc's own heart!.

In a slight deviation from the original plan, the group decided instead to of just a generic donation to the BHF, they would purchase an AED (Defib Machine) - something more personal, tangible and of benefit to the local community. 

A couple of weeks ago, in a small gathering of friends and family at Thornhill Park, they were delighted to present the AED to Slimbridge AFC Chairman, Barry Gay. 

We hope it won't be needed, but at the same time it's great to know that this life saving kit is there!

The tournament itself saw an amazing turnout of over 110 players, as well as many friends and spectators who came along to support the event, and take advantage of the opportunity to catch up and share some memories with old team mates and rivals. 

The inaugural winner, picking up a superb £700 1st prize was another PDC Pro, Dom Taylor, who will be looking to defend his crown in this year's tournament.
