The good news is that this was only the first time this season that Slimbridge have lost two consecutive League games. Add to that the fact that other results meant that the damage in terms of their league position was limited.
However, the facts speak for themselves - Hallen had five chances efforts on goal during the 90 minutes, and converted four of them. The Management team will have plenty to work on this week, ahead of a testing month that see them facing both Worcester Raiders and Corsham Town. February could be the month that comes to define how the season is likely to pan out.
The early exchanges on a heavy pitch were fairly even - Shiyak Sutherland hit the side netting early on, while Aaron Evans-Harriot had a good chance blocked, while Harrison Fairman's pass to Luke Jones saw him bring a save from Swans Keeper Steve Sarkodie, but the game developed into something of a stalemate.
George King and then Gary Thomas-Barker were off target for the hosts, while Hallen Keeper Harry Tomas-Barker was off his line to deny Jack W Smith, with the Slimbridge appeals that the Keeper was outside his box being ignored by Referee Luke Rees.
Three minutes before the half, a quick break by Hallen saw Fairman though one on one with Sarkodie and he made no mistake, leaving the hosts a goal to the good at the break.
A raft of early second half substitutions failed to revive the Swans, and, with 51 minutes gone, an identical move to the first goal produced the second - Fairman notching his brace.
Twenty minutes into the second half, a clearance from Thomas-Barker saw Fairman again though on goal, but this time he was denied by Sarkodie's save.
A minute later, though, it was three as George King played in Fairman, who gleefully converted for his hat trick.
With four minutes remaining, another Hallen break saw Akawe Reid alone through on goal against Sarkodie and he rounded the Swans Keeper and netted to record the fourth goal for the home side, who lifted themselves off the Bottom of the Hellenic League, ahead of their big FA Vase tie next weekend.
Slimbridge are back in League action next Saturday when they travel to Pershore Town (6th February, 3.00pm).
The Slimbridge Under 18's progressed to the Semi-Finals of the Severn Sport Cup on Thursday, when they drew 2-2 at Fairford Town (Goalscorers Albert Neveu and own own goal), and then won the resulting penalty shoot out 4-3.
The draw for the Semi-Finals will be announced in due course.
