After falling behind early, the Swans hit back through Charlie Mathews, whose curling effort went straight in from a corner to level the score. However, Corsham regained the lead before the break, and extended their lead shortly after the restart.

Slimbridge's persistence going forwarded was rewarded on 78 minutes as Jack Hughes headed home a fine Joe Shutt cross. The Swans continued to press in search of an equaliser, but Corsham held firm to deny them a share of the points. 

Despite the setback, Slimbridge remain in third place in the Hellenic League Premier Division table. Up next, the first team return to Thornhill Park on Tuesday, 28th October, to face Tuffley Rovers (19:45 kick off), while the Slimbridge U18s travel to Bishop's Cleeve U18s at Kayte Lane on the same night (20:00 kick off).
