The Swans took the lead as early as the third minute, when Haydn Evans headed home a corner, but Alfie Bradshaw equalised on 35 minutes for Shortwood. 

Four minutes later though, Jonty Welch restored the lead with a precision free kick leaving the home side ahead at the break. 

Two second half goals from Jack Smith on 50 and 84 minutes completed the scoring in front of a healthy crowd of 161. 

Slimbridge are back at Thornhill Park on Tuesday, when they entertain Pershore Town in their first Hellenic League fixture of the season. Kick Off is 7.45pm.
