Chalford win battle of the Ex-Swans

Congratulations to Adam Thomas and the Chalford FC side who last night saw off Karl Nash's Dursley Town 3-2 to win the Reg Davis Cup, in a thoroughly entertaining game at Thornhill Park that was a great advertisement for the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League.
The game saw the two former Swans face off, with other ex-Slimbridge players dotted across both of the lineups, as well as in the crowd. It was great to see so many old friends.
A superb attendance of 464 attended the game at Thornhill Park, with the start needing to be delayed to allow everyone to enter the ground before the kick off.
All of us at Thornhill would like to wish both sides a successful rest of the season, and say thanks to the officials of the GNSL and both clubs, we hope you enjoyed your evening with us, whether or not the result went your way.
