Some calamitous defending had seen the side two goals down at the half and four down on 70 minutes.

And then it all went into 'Did I really see that?' territory..

Newcomer Lincoln Hunt netted two in two minutes to drag Slimbridge back into the game, before Shaftesbury extended their lead four minutes later to make the score 5-2 with ten minutes left.

With four minutes left, Hunt recorded a hat trick on his debut capping an astonishing first appearance for the club, while Olly Sully's goal two minutes later brought the game back to 5-4.

Unfortunately, time ran out for Slimbridge as they pressed for an equaliser and they fell to defeat after an amazing comeback.
