Slimbridge AFC received many messages from our players yesterday afternoon and they have requested that they be allowed to travel to AFC Totton on Tuesday evening to fulfil this fixture.

The original decision was taken by the management committee in order to protect the welfare of our players and staff so we were somewhat taken aback by their response.

We have been in contact with both the FA and AFC Totton and both have agreed that this fixture can now go ahead for which we are extremely grateful.

This just goes to show what a fantastic set of players and management team we have here at Thornhill Park and we are fully behind their desire to want to play this fixture. 

Our sincere thanks go to AFC Totton for agreeing to play on Tuesday and we very much look forward to the game.
